Dahl, Alan R., age 54, of Oak Grove, MN. Longtime member of Oak Grove Fire Department.

In October of 2006 Al had a chronic cough that would not subside. Additional symptoms caused him to seek medical attention. After three different diagnoses, it was found to be stomach cancer. By the time the evaluations were done the tumor had grown thru the wall of his stomach and into the esophagus as well as distant lymph nodes. Al began chemo on December 15, 2006. After a short remission the cancer had metastasized to the shoulder bone.


Dahl, Alan R. age 54, passed away at home surrounded by his family April 9, 2010. Preceded in death by father, Roger; granddaughter, Ashlyne.  Survived by his loving wife, Michelle; son, Jason; daughters, Bethany Jo, Emily and Jennifer; mother, Janet; brother, James (Chris); many nephews; nieces; relatives and friends.

Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, at Word of Life Church, Coon Rapids, MN.

Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. today at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids, MN.
Interment Morningside Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
